Meals at Shadowbriar
At Shadowbriar Elementary, we believe that healthy students are ready to learn. All students are offered a nutritious breakfast and lunch each day at no cost. We participate in HISD’s meal program through SchoolCafe, where families can view menus, manage meal accounts, and find important nutrition and allergy information.

We are also proud to take part in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). Through this initiative, students receive a free serving of fresh fruits or vegetables once a week to promote healthy eating habits.

Important Notes:

  • Breakfast is served each morning starting at 7:05 am. Please ensure your child arrives on time to participate.

  • If your child has food allergies or dietary restrictions, please notify the front office and school nurse as soon as possible.

  • We encourage students to practice respectful and responsible behavior during mealtime. This includes using quiet voices, cleaning up after themselves, and trying new foods when available.
